Remington flourished with the development occurring around the Akron, Ohio area, which is renowned for its polymer technology and once known as the Rubber Capital of the World. In 2010, Remington Products acquired one of its larger customers, Stable Step in Cincinnati, which supplies Powerstep, a leading brand of prefabricated orthotics.
Today Remington Products components are used in a number of products and markets, including orthotics supplied by Podiatrists, retail-ready insoles and cushions, footbeds in US made shoes and military boots, and helmet and glove padding, just to name a few.
Originally serving the OEM footwear and footcare industries with comfort and energy management products, we now manufacture products for numerous industries including medical, sporting goods, military, industrial, and consumer products. We specialize in cushioning and padded foam products for total body protection – from head to toe.
Facilities / Manufacturing
Remington Products is located in Wadsworth Ohio, 30 minutes from either Akron or Cleveland. Capabilities at our facilities include Product Design and Development, Graphic Design, Tooling, Manufacturing, Packaging and Distribution. Our flexible manufacturing philosophy ensures quality, value, and on time delivery that exceed our customer’s expectations.
In 2007 Remington Products founded the Remington International Company LTD, a wholly owned American company located in a modern industrial park in Southeast Asia. Remington International’s manufacturing practices are based on US standards including quality control, employment practices and safety.
Design and Tooling
With our onsite engineering, graphics, designs and tooling/machine shop we can take your new product development quickly from concept to full production. We offer turnkey solutions in product development. With our design team we can assist with CAD drawings, 3D printed models, tooling production, and initial prototyping.
Packaging and Distribution
Remington Products can provide services to fill all of your Business to Business (B2B) and Business to Consumer (B2C) distribution requirements. Our company offers warehousing and inventory control, order processing and fulfillment, distribution, electronic data interchange (EDI), and shipping. We also offer contract packaging services that range from shrink wrapping to bagging, and provide our customers with an online portal where they can track the orders we send to their customers.
