Remington Donates to Salvation Army’s Angel Tree

Dec 21, 2018

Every holiday season, there are families struggling financially causing them and their children to go without gifts and vital items like clothes, coats, and school supplies. Seniors also have forgotten hardships around the holidays and can lack even the most basic necessities.

The Salvation Army provides holiday assistance to local communities by providing both vital needs and gifts to underprivileged children and senior citizens, who normally would go without. The Angel Tree program allows donors to “adopt” a child or senior for the holidays. The sponsor receives the first name, a personalized need list, and a wish list.

Through the initiatives of the Remington ESOP Communication Committee and the Remington Cares Program, the employee owners of Remington Products adopted 20 children and 15 seniors.

The ESOP Communication Committee was created to promote a culture of employee ownership and involvement through company events and education. The goal of this committee is to create an atmosphere that is fun, inclusive, educational, and inspirational. The committee also aims to help others and to support causes both locally and nationally.
